Areas will be covered: 2010 TJ Criteria for Semifinalist Standing

1. 2010 minimum GPA 3.0 is required and minimum TJ test score 65 is required out of total

100 (Verbal 50 + Math 50). Verbal has 45 questions and math has 50 questions.

2. Each semifinalist's essays Criteria for scored rubrics are read and scored by two trained readers.

      The essays are according to……….Students receive a score between 0 and 5.

3. 2 teacher recommendations 4. Second quarter marks

5. Student-authored information sheet reporting --Impressive/Non-Impressive Activities;

  ** How to write 4 questions that required:

 1). What is your best subject in school? Why?

 

 

  2).What are you best at doing (i.e., what is your greatest talent)? Explain your choice.

 3). If you could spend one entire day learning about one topic, what would it be? Why?

 

4.) What one thing about yourself do you believe would make the biggest contribution to the community of learners at TJHSST? (You may wish to consider your personal background, skills, interests, or past experiences in responding.)

 

** Accomplishment --Briefly discuss below the most important thing that you have accomplished in grades 6, 7, and/

0r 8 and why you consider this your most important accomplishment. (Discuss only one accomplishment.) Accomplishment Description:
