2013年 喬治梅森大學(GMU) 20 國際亞裔傳統月再一次慶典高潮, 是以52晚上7免費入场各族裔及 在音乐藝術学院多元综合文精彩表演。地点在GMU藝術中心音乐厅” GMU Center for the  Arts” Concert Hall” 戲院內
邀请各国使节出席。开幕典禮将由蜚聲國際的新世界雙語學院亮麗龍隊推動中國力與美的動力飛舞跳躍,融合中國的榮耀及美國的生動活潑熱情開幕表演,新世界雙語學院亮麗龍隊在的美國總統就職大典游行主席臺前表演全世界電視傳播,及应邀深圳国际会议中心登台等,華盛頓郵報頭版特別報導3 的殊荣是以52的表演特别邀请今年将主办“全美武术大赛“的 專業武術學院武術 PMAA 2003世界武术冠军,及多届武术总冠军江邦军教練 帶領團隊表演少林武術,拳術, 劍術. 優雅美妙的太極拳,,並有專業中国牟平舞蹈中心传统優美中国民族舞蹈,明星舞蹈社All Star Dance Club)和新世界雙語學院的骑马舞应邀上海洛阳北京文化节三年的传统夏威夷舞, 韩国,日本,尼泊尓舞印度舞蹈,  黃麗嬋老師指導的嬋鳴古箏表演,及GMU音乐系教授 Mira Yang 指挥的演唱及最后的大合唱等等。综合了动力与柔美的呈献。裔傳統月熱心的參與及傑出的演出 將在新世紀電視将由美国华视网站www.AACNTV.com)播出您可一再欣賞
 
GMU亞裔傳統月是于20 年前由新世界雙語學院陳校長與為喬大多元事務服務部共同創始。 而後每年陳校長 均應邀策劃 主持亞裔傳統月各族裔精彩的文藝表演, 做為慶典的高潮.多元事務服務亞裔主任 尉紹先 博士(Dr. ShaoXian Yu) 與陳校長共同 頒 獎給所有各族裔表演員。其中多元事務服務處特別頒發年度優良學生領袖獎 (Leadership Award) 及瞻觀獎 (Vision Award)。新世界雙語學院陳 (Mrs. Terry Wang) 校長年,提供頒獎獎金。

Introduction of  Performing  Group

 

1.     NWBI Presidential Dragon Dance --- New World Bilingual Institute (www.nwbi.us)

 is a nonprofit educational institute established in 1994 in Fairfax, VA. It is invited to affiliate with GMU. Its Mission is to foster and develop the lifelong learners with diverse culture and ethical values to achieve success in Establishing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. The NWBI Dragon Dance Team was created by Mrs. Terry Wang at 2007 with her 30 plus top high school students for Carrying the  Symbol of Chinese  Spirits with the Beauty and Strength in celebrating Beijing Olympic World Art Sculpture Exhibition Opening Ceremony with the at GMU. This Elite team was the only team selected to represent the Asian Community at 2009 US Presidential Inauguration Parade VIP Stand. It’s vital Performances has been dazzling hundreds thousands audience  nationally and Internationally. It was the feature photo stories printed on Washington Post Front Page for three times on  2009, 2010. 2012. The various celebration venues including  2009 US Presidential Inauguration Parade VIP Stand , ShenZheng Convention Center US –China Culture Exchange Festival, City of Bowie Annual Memorial Day Parade and  International Diversity Culture Ceremony Annual DC China Town Parade, Annual GMU APA  Month Culture Show Case, GMU International Week Ceremony, invited to perform at to name a few.

 

2.Wushu Kungfu Martial Arts Demonstration (Performed by PMAA Competition Team)

Wushu Kungfu is a Chinese martial arts that was developed in China over thousand years and nowadays is a common sport in China. Modern wushu kungfu contains 3 divisions of routine: Traditional, contemporary, and internal which is known as Taichi. It has been sweeping the world by Hollywood Kungfu movies TV programs les by Bruce Lee, Jacky Chen, and Jet Li In the last 20 years. PMAA is located in Sterling and led by well known Wushu Master BangJun Jiang, 2003 Wushhu Wold Champion, who has trained many US wushu team elites to receive the national level Award Winner of US and China in an array of famous competitions. PMAA’s team  demonstration always surprises the audience with the power and beauty of Wushu Kungfu. Master Jiang has been pointed as the Head Master to host the “2013 USA Wushu Kungfu Federation national championships and team trials”. The Location is in Tysons Corner Sheraton on July 4th weekend. All elite athletes from all over the U.S. will be gathering here to partake in fierce competition. It will not only feature a national level competition showcasing many contemporary, traditional, and internal forms of Chinese wushu kungfu but also feature the top-level athletes vying for their spot on the prestigious U.S. Wushu team to represent the United States. 3.   All Star Dance Club--- is for people who have a passion for dancing and exercising. We do easy and fun line dances to great music every Saturday and Sunday at the Crown Dance Studio located in Fairfax, VA. All Star Dance Club has been invited to perform in various

Venues that include GMU APA month is the past years.

Director Mrs. Shou-Lien Liu, has over 18 years’ experience in teaching exercise and dancing classes in Fairfax County and other  organizations . Check the  web site  www.allstardanceclub.com for more information."

 

 4. Nepal Dance  School --- Teach and perform four styles - Tibetan and Nepalese Buddhist dance, north Indian classical Kathak dance, Nepalese folk dance and of course Bollywood," "You cannot have a program without Bollywood. I mean Bollywood is so popular everywhere in the world." ; "Some of the Buddhist dances that we do are no longer being taught, even in Nepal. So it is very difficult to find a teacher. You need to find really somebody who is one or two generations older than you are who is willing to teach that," said Co-director, Cordula Sturm Dahal, born in Germany and educated in France and the United States, brings her experience of traveling and living in over thirty countries to Nepal Dance School. She has trained in Oriental dance in Morocco and Egypt, and Indian dance in Nepal and India. Using her background as a historical researcher and writer, Mrs. Dahal creates and coordinates a variety of cultural education programs for schools and other organizations. 

 

5. Mu Ping Performing Art Group was established by Ms. Ping Mu who was the director of Perfuming Art for Beijing TV prior moved to US.  Ms. Mu has been dedicated trainer, chirographer, and teacher to bridge the arts and cultural between US and China by conducted many performances to dazzle the Communities with grace and beauty. Previous Ohio Governor George Voinovich praised MuPing as an “Ambassador of Chinese Culture” and Mary Eisenhower of People To People titled her as “Angel of Peace “diversity of Chinese culture and performing arts.  It has been performed an array of functions around Metro DC areas with high remarks.

 

6.   Indian Umang Dance Groups is a group of folk dancers from India.  The group has been actively promoting the culture heritage of India through its folk dances since 1989.  The founder is Mrs. Archana P. Chhaya. She also oversees the Choreography and costumes design.  Umang Dance Group has been awarded a grant from the Smithsonian Institute in 1994.

 

7. The Hawai`i State Society ‘Ukulele Hui (Club) will sing 3 songs, (`A`oia, Lehuanani, and Haleakala) both in Hawaiian and English lyrics, while strumming the ‘ukulele.  There are four dancers who will gracefully interpret the songs with the movements of their hands.  Under the direction of Carol Leolani Takafuji, the group was formed 10 years ago to learn how to play this unique musical instrument, the different strums, chords and their progressions.  It’s an avenue to learn the history, language and culture of Hawai`i through music.  Most of all, the members love to share what they have learned and to spread the aloha spirit everywhere it performs.  The group meets every Wednesday evening.  It has branched off to sing other genres of music, such as popular tunes, folk, patriotic and religious songs.  The Hui has performed at many venues, such as retirement and nursing homes, schools, lu`au, holiday parties, and hula dance recitals. The group has been invited as honored performing Group in China International Torsion and Cultural Festivals of Beijing, Shanghai and Luoyang at 2005, 2009 and 2011.
