Mrs. Terry Wang is the president of the New World Bilingual Institute; 
USA Representative of BICTF
; and Executive Vice President of Sun Cultural Exchange, Inc.
She has been an administrator and trainer, newspapers weekly 
Educational Columnist, and speaker 
on VOA broadcasting for more than 30 years in the areas of 
bilingual/multicultural education, 
leadership and communication in the United States and abroad. 

BICTF is one of the world’s greatest festivals of the year with 
world media’s focused attention. BICTF 
holds its Gala Festival tradition and endeavors since 1998 in promoting 
cultural diversity and world 
harmony. The City of Beijing and Beijing Tourism Administration will be 
the hosts for the gala Festival.
The major invitees of BICTF are the elite performing arts troupes, 
marching Bends, and dance teams 
from different countries in the world. This festival is to provide the 
opportunities for all performing 
groups to learn, to share, and to dazzle 13 million Beijing residents 
and hundreds of thousands world 
audience, as well as to strengthen the friendship among the people all 
over the globe. 
The Theme for this year is “The Olympic”. The trip is from 
September 21 to 30. The festival sites are in Beijing and an ancient city 
of Pingyao. The performers selected for this year are: Hui Hula O Na 
Mele Aloha and On stage America two groups, total of 110 participates 
(64 Dancers and 46 guests) will be joined the New World Bilingual 
Institute (NWBI) Dance Team in representing the USA to participated in the 
BICTF, 2005.


HUI HULA O NA MELE ALOHA, a performing troupe of Hawaiian Hula dancers 
with the traditional and cultural context as a Hawaiian art form. It 
is based in Fairfax County, Virginia, will be traveling to the 
People’s Republic of China to participate in the 
BEIJING INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL TOURISM FESTIVAL. Under the sponsorship 
of Ms. Terry Wang and her New World Bi Lingual Institute, the 8-member 
dance group will join performers from all over the world in this annual 
cross-cultural event. In addition to the Opening Parade in Beijing, 
they will perform in several On Stage performances.

Hui Hula O Na Mele Aloha is under the direction of Adelaide Melelani 
Chang, a Hawaiian dance teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia for over 16 
years, and Hawaiian hula performer in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. 
area for over 20 years. The group has performed for a wide variety of 
audiences, including public and private schools, libraries, senior 
centers, and community festivals. They have participated in the George 
Mason University Asian American Heritage Program, Reston Multicultural 
Festival, Hawaii State Society Luau, and numerous Asian-Pacific American 
Cultural programs for U.S. government agencies.

Performers traveling to China will be Adelaide Melelani Chang, Kamaka 
Cooper, Gina Kauluwehi Hartman, Jean Kanilehua Hellwege, Mary Pohakea 
McCracken, Aloma Leilani Myers, Carol Leolani Takafuji, and Judy 
Lei’oni Titus.
