NWBI Participating in Fairfax County Make A Difference Day (Food Donation)

NWBI Participating in

Fairfax County

Make A Difference Day

"Make a Difference Day" at Mott Community Center

On Saturday October 28th from 12 - 4pm, Mott Community Center will be hosting a carnival for the participants engaged in community service projects throughout the region.  After completion of the community service projects the participants will be treated to free refreshments and the opportunity to win prizes at a variety of game booths .   Cost is free but will are asking for canned food donations to support the efforts of Food for Others, the largest distributor of free food directly to people in need in Northern Virginia.

In addition, Project Success participants and the Mott Community Center staff will sponsor an Adopt-a-Soldier booth. People will be able to make a card/letter and fill a bag with goodies to be sent to the soldiers in Iraq. Project Success is an inclusive service-learning program that engages middle and high school students with and without disabilities in community service.

Look forward to any support you can provide or your sharing of this information with anyone that would be interested in participating.  If you have any question feel free to contact me.  Thank you.
