10th Annual World Children’s Art Contest

Theme—Healthy Living and a Healthy Environment

The Goals

1. To celebrate World Health Day by promoting awareness and understanding of healthy living and a healthy environment through the eyes of children

2. To encourage young people to fully explore their artistic creativity and imagination through the consideration of medical science and the purify environment

 

Contest Awards3rd -12th Grades

               K-2nd  Special AAMS/NWBI Art Contest Exhibition Award

·            The top three in each of the following levels will receive prizes: 3rd-5th; 6th-8th; 9th-12th

·            1st Place: an AAMS/NWBI Art Contest ING Cup and $100 Cash      

·            2nd Place: an AAMS/NWBI Art Contest ING Cup and $50 Cash       

·            3rd Place: an AAMS/NWBI Art Contest ING Cup and $30 Cash      

·            One AAMS/NWBI Art Contest Honorable Mention Award in each level

·            Each contestant will receive a Participation Certificate of Award

 

DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked no later than October 18, 2009

The Awards Ceremony: The Awards Ceremony with Free Reception/Performances;

                                         Free Parking at lot A, C, J and K

   Sunday, October 25 th, 2009 at 2-4 pm (following the exhibition) at Dewburry Hall, Johnson Center,

   George Mason University, Fairfax Campus - all are invited for a Free Reception /Performances

   

Judging Criteria

Graphic designers will judge based on the following:

1.     Relevance to theme ---------30%

2.     Creativity---------------------30%

3.     Originality--------------------20%

4.     Clarity of idea and image---10%

5.     Use of color--------------------5%

6.     Use of space-------------------5% 

 

Rules for Entry

1. Entries must adhere to the contest theme:” Healthy Living and a Healthy Environment”

2. Only one entry per student

3. Each entry must be solely the work of the student only

4. Acceptable artwork types include, but are not limited to: Watercolor, Oil, Sketches, Collage

5. Size: 12” x 16” or 12”x18”

6. Required information (attached on the back of the board): Student’s name, age, gender, school name, gradehome address and phone number 7. Registration Fee: $10 (checks only, make payable to AAMS)

8. Mail entries to: AAMS, 914 Allan Road, Rockville, MD 20850 

9. DEADLINE: Entries must be received (by mail or delivery) by October 21, 2009 ;

庆祝世界健康日第十届儿童绘画比赛3-12/年级12 项奖金/奖杯

             美国医药科学学院(AAMS)新世界雙語學院(NWBI)ING 公司联合主办

 

今年由于甲流感的传播于世界而影响与引起仆偏对世界健康重视。为了让学童能对生活环境与健康的更切身的重视与了解,及继续庆祝世界健康日,美国医药科学学院(AAMS)新世界雙語學院(NWBI)ING 公司联合主办第十届儿童绘画比赛。绘画主题为“生活环境与健康”邀请世界各地所有学生参赛。

2009 儿童绘画比赛宗旨是1让我们透过儿童的纯真视界以对生活环境与健康 有新的观感来庆祝世界健康日。2鼓励青少年以他们艺术的创意与想象来发掘医药科学和洁净环境的影响。

 

比赛奖项从3-12/年级分三组,共12 项奖,分别颁以奖金及奖杯ING Cup)并颁奖状为鼓励第一名:美金100元,第二名:美金50元,第三名: 美金30元,佳作:特别奖品。所以参赛者均颁予参赛奖状。 此外,并邀请幼稚园至2年级学生参与特别展览,颁予奖状奖励。
